REVITALIZATION IN ACTION
Our community partnerships are stronger than ever. Through the Reimagine Elmwood coalition, we’re helping to make physical changes in the neighbourhood to make walking, shopping and spending time here a safer and more pleasant experience.
- Community Corner at 243 Henderson: This vacant former gas station site at the corner of Johnson and Henderson has been transformed into a community space. On-site events and activities will be taking place throughout the year, beginning in spring of 2024
- Placemaking on Henderson: Giant median marbles (installed 2023) and arches (coming spring of 2024)
- Watt St Parklet
- Johnson Ave improvements: wider and more accessible sidewalks make getting around on foot or with a stroller or mobility device much easier
